Have you looked at or are you aware of Open Source alternatives to Sharepoint such as Alfresco? You could always try the community version first? http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Main_Page
And if it suits your purposes upgrade to the enterprise version. I understand it costs less than MS SharePoint and has a few more features as well!</description>

I still see middle school computer classes teaching bulleting in MS word for a week! But then there are some fully integrated technology programs. What seems to make the difference is having someone lead instructional technology in the school. Those schools that do not have that seem to be behind.</description>
